Resolve Missing Reel Check
Missing Reels
Select the main bin in Resolve and make sure it includes every shot supplied on the DIT rushes drive. The script compares those imported clips against the camera files on disk and reports anything missing.
What it does
The script scans the current Media Pool bin and all bins inside it, collecting each clip's Reel Name metadata. It then scans a mounted disk folder for camera files and compares each filename, without its extension, against those Reel Name values.
Any media files found on disk but not represented in the Resolve bin tree are listed in the result panel and, by default, written to a text report on the Desktop.
It checks common camera and editorial media extensions, including MOV, MXF, MP4, ARI, ARX, BRAW, R3D, and CRM.
Install on Mac
In Finder, choose Go from the menu bar, then choose Go to Folder...
Paste this folder path:
~/Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/Fusion/Scripts/Utility/Drop the downloaded script into that folder, then restart Resolve. It should appear under Workspace > Scripts > Utility.
Run
In Resolve, select the main Media Pool bin that should contain every shot from the DIT drive. Sub bins are included automatically.
Open Workspace > Scripts > Utility > KrabbyMissingReelCheck.
Choose the mounted rushes folder, confirm the report path, then run the check.
